V-Bar Tricep Pushdown
Upper armsStrengthBeginnerCable

A cable tricep pushdown using a V-handle, which locks the wrists in a pronated, slightly-angled position and loads the lateral head.
How to do it
- Attach a V-bar handle to a high cable pulley.
- Stand facing the stack and grip the V-bar with both hands, palms down.
- Start with the elbows tucked to the sides, forearms parallel to the floor.
- Press the handle down until the arms are fully extended.
- Squeeze the triceps, then return under control to the starting position.
- Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
Tips
- Keep the elbows pinned to the sides the entire set.
- Don't lean into the bar; a small forward lean is fine, but let the triceps do the work.
